Meet Seth!

As a 7th Grade Civics Teacher at Lincoln Middle School in Gainesville, Florida, Seth Harp is teaching the next generation of Americans about government, citizenship, civic responsibility and the power of democracy. Every day, he works to help young people understand not only how our government functions but also how they can become active participants in shaping its future.
Seth's involvement in politics began long before he was old enough to cast a ballot. During the 1990s, he volunteered on Election Days, helping arrange transportation to polling locations for voters who otherwise may not have had a way to make their voices heard. Those early experiences instilled in him a lifelong belief that democracy works best when everyone has the opportunity to participate.
After graduating from college, Seth became one of the youngest talk show hosts in the history of WKZO Radio in Kalamazoo, Michigan at just 23 years old. The station's rich history included broadcasting legends such as Paul Harvey, Harry Caray and Tom Snyder. That opportunity launched a media career spanning more than 25 years.
Over the course of his career, Seth served as a Program Director, Operations Manager, Station Manager, and on-air host across six states. Since 2001, he has managed and operated nine radio stations and media organizations, helping develop and mentor countless broadcasters, journalists, and media professional who have gone on to successful careers at ESPN, FOX Sports, CBS, and other major media companies across the country.
After moving to Florida more than a decade ago, Seth found not only a home, but a community worth fighting for. As Operations Manager of ESPN Gainesville and later as an Adjunct Professor in the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, Seth helped train and mentor future communicators, broadcasters, and media leaders. Seth's students and staff have earned awards, launched successful careers, and went on to make their mark in industries ranging from sports media to entertainment.
Today, he continues his work as an educator while running for Congress in Florida's 3rd Congressional District. Seth's campaign is rooted in the same values that have guided his entire life: public service, civic engagement, accountability and the belief that government should work for working people.
Whether in the classroom, behind a microphone, or on the campaign trail, Seth's mission has always been the same: empower people, amplify their voices, and help build a stronger future for Florida's 3rd Congressional District.
